7/7 🍎🌈✨ #HVPSNationalPrincipalsMonth! Join us as we HONOR HVPS High School Principal Mrs. Brandy Holguin today to wrap up the Month🤗‼️
Get to know Mrs. Holguin better with her responses to the questions we asked her! #GOBEARS
Mrs. Holguins favorite part about being a principal is having the opportunity to work with amazing students and staff every day! “It is a privilege to be part of their growth, celebrate their successes, and help create opportunities for our students to reach their full potential.”This is her 8th year as a principal, and she is grateful for the opportunity to serve the school community. 🤗❤️
Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, camping, and traveling. “These activities allow me to recharge, and make lasting memories.” 💚🏕️🧑🧑🧒🧒
“There are so many wonderful traditions at HVPS, but my absolute favorites are Senior Sunrise and Senior Sunset! Watching our seniors and their families gather to celebrate these special milestones fills me with hope, pride, and excitement for the future. These moments are a beautiful reminder of how quickly time passes and how much these experiences mean to our students and their families.” 🌅🎉🎓
If Mrs. Holguin could switch jobs with anyone for a day, she would switch jobs with one of the staff members at The Little Bear Childcare Center. “There is something truly special about spending time with the youngest learners in our district. Their curiosity, excitement, and joy are contagious, and it would be wonderful to spend a day experiencing the world through their eyes!” 🧸🐣⭐️
What does HVPS mean to Mrs. Holguin?
“Being an alumna of Hatch Valley Public Schools makes this community especially meaningful to me. Having the opportunity to give back to the same community that helped shape me into the person I am today is something I deeply value. I truly believe in the Valley, its people, and all that we have to offer.
My dad has always been an inspiration to me through his example of selflessness and service. His love for this community and his passion for giving back were unwavering and evident in everything he did. His example continues to influence the way I lead and serve today. For me, HVPS is more than a school district; it is home, community, and a legacy of giving back.” 🐻❤️

3/7 🍎✨ #HVPSNationalPrincipalsMonth! Join us as we HONOR HVPS High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Mr. Fernando Sanchez today‼️
Get to know Mr. Sanchez better with his responses to the questions we asked him! #GOBEARS
The kids are his favorite part as a principal he gets to spend time helping students navigate situations outside of the normal school work. It has really become his favorite thing to see kids grow. He has been doing this for 5 years! 🙌⭐️
Outside of school Mr. Sanchez really enjoys spending time with his wife and kids “It doesn't matter what we are doing as long as I get to be around them” 🏡🧑🧑🧒🧒
He would have to say that he really enjoys multiple traditions here at HVPS, but out of all of them his top 2 would have to be the tailgate parking at football and the turkey trot! 🏈🦃‼️
If Mr. Sanchez could switch jobs with anyone for a day, he would switch with Deana Lopez, HVHS counselor. “She helps so many kids and has such a great relationship with them. I would enjoy seeing things through her position” 🫂💚⭐️
What does HVPS mean to Mr. Sanchez?
“It has meant so much to me. I have two sons who are now Hatch Valley graduates, Nicolas and Dominic, and my daughter is currently a teacher, coach, and sponsor at Hatch Valley High School. My son Max is in the 3rd grade at RGE. This experience for me and my family has helped us grow and feel like we are part of the community. It has really been a blessing and truly an experience I wish more people could get a chance to have. HVPS isn't just a school district; it's part of the Hatch Valley Community” ❤️🐻
HVPS THANKS YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO‼️

Giving some of our Culinary Arts students and a staff member an exciting, hands-on experience they won’t forget! They got to roll up their sleeves, get in the kitchen, and prepare a delicious chicken stir-fry from scratch learning valuable cooking skills while building the confidence to create their own meals!🥕🍗🥦 While this was happening other students became curious about what was cooking and came over to see what their classmates were making, they even had the opportunity to taste the delicious food the students prepared!😋
